Deborah’s grooming business has seen the worst of the worst:
Not everything goes as planned:
She also sees good things:
When Deborah opened Kitty's Purrfect Spa in June 2013, she never imagined the path it would take her down.
In March 2013, Deborah became a CFMG and shortly after she had created a business plan with concrete goals. Before her business launched in June 2013, she had no clients, in fact, she had never groomed a cat (or dog) professionally. Deborah had no experience in the animal industry! In 2013 her goal of 30 cats a month was never met. She knew rebooking regular clients was a key to a healthy business, so from day one, that was her goal.
Deborah increased her goals for 2014 to at least 40 cats a month. In September 2014, she became discouraged. She knew her business was amazing and had all the right local support. Deborah had the right training, but needed more time to flourish. She almost started looking for a seasonal job when the phone starting ringing. After only grooming 16 cats in September 2014, things started exploding! October she groomed 35 cats, November 37 cats, December 46 cats.
She naively figured she had her first “Christmas Rush” and like all groomers, would have a slow January and February. Deborah set 2015 goals as a consistent 40 cats a month. January she groomed 40 cats, plus took a week off! February, with a $5.00 price increase across the board and attending a week convention, she groomed another 40 cats, March 48 cats, April 61 cats… April 2015 Deborah had obvious smashed her goals and then set new goals in place. July 2016 Kitty's Purrfect Spa was in such demand, she began hiring employees.
As you can see, Feline Exclusive House Call Grooming has been very profitable for Deborah, and it can be profitable for you as well.
After over 4000 grooms, Deborah is now in a place to share her knowledge with those who are open to learning.
